    Thank you for those powerful words. Unfortunately in this day and age people are essentially not allowed to mourn and are expected to “get over it” or “take a few days” and we have lost the ability to come together and comfort one another and truly grieve. We miss the opportunity to become closer to God and his healing hand. A powerful lesson for me today.

      You are right, Brian. Our culture seems to ignore the power of mourning to comfort the grieving. This beatitude, like all the others, is not of this world, but belongs to those who inhabit the Kingdom of God.
