    Thank you for your insight. We truly are encountering a fractured world and it is so hard to stay positive. Jesus does show us the way through the Beatitudes, if we only heed them.

    Your words on the Beatitudes are profound – they outline the mindset we have to adopt if we are truly
    to live the Christian life. Without that mindset we cannot be open to the Lord who gives us the grace to live the Beatitutes – it requires effort for the grace which the great Deitrich Bonhoeffer describes as “Costly Grace” to be effective in our lives.

      You got it, John: The Beatitudes provide the mindset or heart-set to live the gospel.
      My oldest brother was John as are several of my nephews. Which of the Duffy’s are you, John?
